My contractor has taken over 17 months to complete the building of my house. As of today the house is still not ready. I am completely dissatisfied with his work. I feel he has miss allocated my funds. The work product is terrible. I have broken soffits, tiles, pavers are sinking and broken, he’s installed all my cabinet handles crooked. He refuses to provide me with a key to the house. He sends me invoices for random things. I don’t even have a doorbell! The house has 18 months of dust and build up and he’s installing appliances without even cleaning. I have porcelain polished floors that are all dirty. There is build up of the caulking in each corner of the floors. He put base boards before the floor installation. Refuses to repaint the house inside and out. Used the cheapest paint. I’m so upset. The bank doesn’t seem to care either. He wants me to fire him but I don’t. I need him to finish but I don’t j ow what else I can do? I’ve waited two years. He removed more tha. Half of my driveway because of a supposed change order.. he made a mistake and put one AC unit and realized I needed two and had me sign a document that says nothing about the driveway and when we finally got to the driveway project he told me he was only going to put one sidewalk because I signed a change order. He has manipulated, stolen, taking a vantage of my vulnerability several times, and the most recent event was I’m not getting any light fixtures only in the main living areas. I’m so upset and desperate.
