Who hired you (owner, contractor, subcontractor)? Are you a company? What kind of work did you do?

Did you deliver a "notice to the owner" within 45 days of first furnishing materials to the job or starting work? If yes, you have 90 days from finishing the work to file your construction lien. If the answer to the first question is "no" then you do not have lien rights. If you are more than 90 days from finishing (not including punch-out) then you do not have lien rights. If you are without lien right you can file a lawsuit against the GC for not paying you. How much is owed?

OK. Looks like you have the right to lien. You can contact any construction lawyer in your area to get the lien done or you can contact my office by e-mail: basslawoffice@comcast.net. Don't wait. The deadline to file the lien is Aug. 25th. That date cannot be extended.
