We are a general contractor who works with subcontractors. We contract with different subs to provide labor and materials for our projects. e.g. a glazing contractor who measures interior glass and then provides the glass and installation, or an electrical contractor who buys our specified lighting package and installs them. My question is, can the materials supplier place a lien on our client's building in the event that the subcontractor (who purchased the materials) doesn't pay them?
