My aunts house caught fire a year and a half ago resulting in her death and my mom inherited the estate. Her attorney says there is a lien on the property and since we are trying to sell it the lien Has to be paid in order for the property to be sold. Dahlin was brought on because a friend of hers loaned her the money that many years ago to save her home When her business went under. She is since divorced from her husband who at the time was half owner of the business. Shouldn’t that Lien have been renewed or expire by now And shouldn’t her ex-husband be responsible for part of it?
