Can a company ask me to sign a interim lien waiver in Georgia (for the requested deposit) prior to receiving payment? Normally they request the form once payment has been cleared

Yes. The interim lien waiver should state that you are waiving your lien and bond rights upon receipt of the payment. You have 90 days after the lien waiver is signed to file a Notice of Nonpayment in the event that you do not receive the payment.
