I am a property owner. A mechanics lien was filed against me when the work that was completed was either done in un-workmanlike manner, only 80% completion per the contract, and done with a person(s) who was not licensed at the time the work was completed, however, reapplied for the license in order to meet the requirements of filing a mechanics lien. The work also required pulling permits, (HVAC residential and commercial units installed by licensed HVAC person) and for other system's work, but were not done.
