A contractor put lien on my property, but we hadn’t finished our walk through, now I am ready to pay him final payment! How do I pay him and deal with the lien!
Typically, once the final payment is negotiated, you exchange the lien satisfaction for the check. Once you have the satisfaction form signed by the contractor, you file it with the county clerk and the lien is discharged.
