Hello, My company supplied and installed cabinets in a home that was damaged by a flood. We were hired by a restoration company. After our job was completed the company refused to pay us, saying the other contractors are not complete and the clients insurance will not pay till the job is signed off of the home owner. This was in April. After many attempts to collect the money after we were notified by the home owner the restoration company has been paid and we have not received payment, In fact the owner flat out said he was not going to pay us. What is the next step we can take to attempt to get our money? We are a small business owner and we did not anticipate having to put a lien on the property so we did not send the any lien notices.
