Lien options on NV Hemp Farm

Nevada

We provided materials and performed the labor for irrigation on a Hemp Farm in Nevada. Are we able to file a lien on the scope of work?

It is possible. The key questions you have to determine are (1) does the work you did require a contractors license; and (2) if so, are you licensed to do the work. If the work does not require a contractors license, then you may file a lien, as long as the amount owed amount is more than $500. If the work done would normally require a license and your total pay is less than $1,000, you may be able to record a lien even if it required a license. Otherwise, I would suggest you contact an attorney, provide him/her with specifics of your work and have them give you specific instructions on how to proceed against the facility. (PS. Almost everyone I have talked to who did construction in this industry did not get paid)
