Lien on home for caregiving and repair

MichiganCollections

I was the caregiver 24/7 from April 26th, 2018 until Feb 23, 2019 and was not paid and had a contract. I need to place a lien on the home of my mother to protect her assets and prevent the sale of her home.

A construction lien under Michigan's Construction Lien Act is for persons who construct or make improvements to real estate.  It sounds like you provided personal services to your mother, which would not give rise to a construction lien in Michigan. If you are concerned about protecting your mother or her house -- it's unclear from your question what her current circumstances are or if she's competent to make decisions -- you should consult with an estate planning attorney. Those are issues that go beyond my expertise and probably exceed the scope of services LevelSet provides.
