I'm not a builder. I preformed some logging work on a property in the state of Washington. I was told (from your website) that that state requires a contractor to register (as in business license) and obtain a certifcate of registration? in order to file a mechanic's lien. Can I file a lien a) based upon the work I did (logging) and b) but without a specific business license (related to logging)? c) what is a certificate of registration? d) any other issues I might have regarding legally being able to file a lien?
