Is WA state a full balance or unpaid balance lien state?

WashingtonRight to Lien

Washington State homeowner has paid contractor (our customer) in full. We have not been paid by contractor and intend to file a lien on the property. Owner will dispute our lien based on his payment in full to contractor. My most up-to-date info is from 2019 and I would like to have more recent confirmation for WA state. Is the homeowner responsible for the full balance or only the unpaid amount of the contract?

Thank you for reaching out to the Levelset legal community. If you are in need of specific advice for a current legal situation, you may want to consider reaching out to a licensed attorney in your state directly at their office. This forum is public, so it may not be the right place to discuss a sensitive legal issue. Levelset provides a list of attorneys in each state here: . From that directory you may find a law firm in your area to call privately.
