I am in the process of building a house on a lake and the neighbors keep complaining because they don’t like change or are jealous. Once the complaint hits the county, the county immediately places a stop work order without visiting the site going off the neighbors “photos.” We have literally done nothing wrong, have resolved 2 of the stop work orders by just having the county coming out to the site and now we’re dealing with a 3rd. These have all happened in the last 2 weeks. Is there any legal action we can take because it’s cost us thousands of dollars to have workers on site and then we call for an inspection and realize there’s a stop work order.
