I am seeking guidance in the construction legal department. I have already filed the lien.
Hello!
You can check the Austin construction attorneys list on Levelset. It will let you search by city without asking questions. Also, shameless plug incoming, I am based in DFW and service all of Texas.

Texas construction and mechanic's lien law is the same across the Lone Star State. So, theoretically, you could consult with an El Paso construction attorney and probably get good advice.
Or, you can review the materials at The Construction Report at the following link:
http://www.TheConstructionReport.org
The Construction Report has the mechanic's lien laws, explanatory materials, deadline charts, and notice and lien forms. Oh, and attorney jokes.
Good luck.
Hello again,
Mechanic's liens don't work on their own unless you were thinking about using them as a scare tactict. Properly filed and against the right types of property, they provide serious leverage. Without checking the statute, I believe you have one year to sue to foreclose on Homestead properties and 2 years to sue to foreclose on commercial properties.
I can do consultations all over the state if you have a phone or don't mind Zoom. I do not have to physically be in Austin. It is 2021 after all!
