Is a mechanics lien the right way to proceed?

MassachusettsCollectionsMechanics Lien

A client that we did work on had their house burned turn after he fired us from the job, and before that point owed money to ur company. Our lawyer told us to file a mechanics lien, or to reach out to a construction lawyer. Not sure the best option

The answer is, it really depends on how much money you are owed. If you record a lien, you have to be prepared to file suit within 90 days. If you give me a call tomorrow, I will discuss the situation with you.
