In Florida, if a company files a company bankruptcy how will it affect contractors license to qualify other business

Florida

I currently qualify 2 companies with my Florida Certified Building Contractor's License. I am shutting down one of the companies and would like to file bankruptcy for the company I am shutting down. If I do this, will it affect my ability to continue with my other company or damage my ability to keep my CBC license?

You should consult with your bankruptcy lawyer about this question.

Okay, this site states that I could get advice from a construction attorney which is were I believed this question would fall as I don't think a B/K attorney would be schooled on construction licensing but I will ask someone.

I understand, but the question is really about bankruptcy and whether adverse action can be taken against your license as a result of you filing bankruptcy. The bankruptcy code is federal law and it preempts state laws. There are limitations on state regulatory authority about which a bankruptcy lawyer can give you advice. This forum is primarily to assist contractors with questions about how to get paid.
