Hi can a contractor put a Lien on a house if the house is not in my name? The contract is in my name only. The contractor walked off the job and did not complete but still wants to be paid

There is a lot going on here based on even just the little bit of information you provided. If you are married and the house is in your spouses name, then yes, the contractor could put a lien on the house even if the contract is only in your name.
