Despite the job site being closed due to COVID-19 and the Texas Supreme Court issuing various emergency orders in response, the general consensus is that lien deadlines under the Texas Property Code have not been extended. The best way to perfect your lien rights is to proceed with the notice and filing requirements to perfect a lien on the Property for the amount of money you're due for work performed. Depending on your position in the work chain (general contractor, subcontractor, supplier, etc) there are various deadlines and notice requirements that will need to be met before filing. Feel free to give me a call, email, or text on my direct line to discuss how I may be able to help. I look forward to hearing from you. Sincerely, Martin C.
