if I accept a partial payment from my this customer will I this removed their lien in placed?
No, acceptance of partial payment will not “remove” the lien…..but the person making the partial payment should insist upon a partial satisfaction of the lien in return for the partial payment. A partial lien satisfaction is a document indicating that the lien has been reduced by (amount of payment)….and the balance due on lien in now $(whatever remains due).
On private liens, these partial satisfactions are filed with the clerk’s office in which the original lien was filed.
