Anytime a mechanics lien claim has incorrect information, there is a potential for the claim to be challenged. But let's take a look at the statutory requirements for a Pennsylvania claim of lien. The statute governing this can be found under 49 P.S. §1503 Contents of Claim, the relevant portion reads as follows: The claim shall state:
  1. The name of the claimant, and whether he files as a contractor or subcontractor;
  2. The name and address of the owner or reputed owner...
From a technical standpoint, the statute does not require that the claimant's address even be included. So the validity of the lien shouldn't be in jeopardy. That being said, the address listed on the mechanics lien will be used as the mailing address for any correspondence, notices, and the like. Therefore, you should likely file an amendment to the claim provided under §1504, to update your address. This will also avoid any unnecessary challenges to your claim.
