In order for mechanics lien rights to arise, there must generally be some permanent improvement to the project property - typically in the construction context. Nothing is "permanent," but this refers to some lasting improvement to the project and some serious level of attachment. But, providing equipment that doesn't become permanently attached to the building, land, etc. will generally not give rise to mechanics lien rights. Of course, that doesn't mean other options won't be available. Sending a demand letter or actually pursuing legal claims could lead to payment. Or, sending the debt to collections might be an option as well.
