Mechanics liens are a powerful recovery tool, and most claimants are able to force payment without having to take additional steps. But, every situation is different - and sometimes, additional actions may be necessary. Levelset discusses that here: The 4 Steps to Take After Filing a Mechanics Lien. As mentioned in that article, sending a Notice of Intent to Foreclose can be a powerful next-step if the property owner or customer haven't been taking the lien claim seriously. And, it's usually a helpful step before considering a lien enforcement action. And, as you mentioned above, placing the debt with a collections agency can also work to force payment. As far as Levelset's services - users can send documents like a Notice of Intent to Foreclose through the Levelset platform. But, we're not able to represent you in a lien foreclosure action or perform collections-type services on the debt. Though, we do have a directory of construction collectors who may be able to help.
