I have a question about Lien Priority Matters?

CaliforniaPayment Disputes

I have a question about Lien Priority Matter? It appears that I and another plaintive file a lien and the surplus to be paid is 45,000 to be paid out. my original judgement was 7, 500 and their was 21,000. Now I am owed $15,000 and they say they are owed $45,000. They are telling me because they filed 2 months prior to mine that they get all the money. Is there away I can get some money back. I was told that the company holding the money is not going to release any money until we come to some kind of agreement. One attorney said to me that in most cases if you go to court you can tell the judge you suffering cost and they can grant that some of the interested accrued from the other party can be dropped so the other party in the matter can be paid some thing. Is that true and does this happen often like I was told. I was also told that instead of going to court and fighting with the other person that I could work out a deal with them in a promissory note that they would pay me a portion of money to drop my claim. Can that be done and does that happen often? Please let me know. My name is Dave and my email is starofent@hotmail.com
