How to enforce, commence suit of Mechanics Lien filed in Cook County?

IllinoisLawsuitMechanics Lien

I've already filed a Mechanics Lien. What is the next step to begin to file suit to enforce that Mechanics Lien that was already filed, in Cook County?

Once a Notice of Mechanics Lien has been filed with the Record of Deeds and served on the property parties, it has been "Perfected" within the meaning of Illinois law. The next step will be to foreclose the Mechanics Lien - that is, to bring a lawsuit in the Circuit Court.

I recommend you consult with an experienced Construction Attorney before pressing forward. Best of luck!

 Hello,

I need help finding a lawyer in Dupage County to
represent us in small claims court.

I have reached out to no less than five firms
asking if they handle small claims collection representation for an
incorporated construction company, and not one has responded.

We have signed contracts with each of the three
customers that owe us each approximately $6000.

I figure finding a firm located in DuPage County,
where our business is located, would be more appealing to the firm due to
travel time.

Are you able to provide us with a Dupage County lawyer
that takes on small claims cases for incorporated contractors?

Thank you for any help you can provide.

You should contact a lawyer familiar with and skilled in mechanics lien litigation.
