How much detail about the work needs to be in the notice to lien?

Connecticut

Is a simple description of work in the Notice to Lien adequate? Should more detail go into the actual Certificate of Mechanics lien that is filed with the town clerk?

You want to keep it as simple as possible. For example, if you performed certain roofing work, you would simply state: "Furnished and installed certain labor, materials and equipment to complete the roofing scope of work on the Project."
