A Notice of Furnishing should be sent either by certified mail, return receipt requested, or delivered via personal service. And, if a sub-tier lien claimant fails to send a Michigan Notice of Furnishing where one is required, they'll generally be unable to file a valid and enforceable mechanics lien.
