How does an Intent to File a Lein get delivered when the defendant rents the property and does not live there?

ColoradoCollectionsNotice of Intent to Lien

I am a small contractor. A client has not paid me for the work she requested. She rents the property and I have no permanent address for her. Will the Notice of Intent to File be forwarded to her?

Generally, if the property is being liened, a Notice of Intent to Lien is first sent to the owner of the property. Though, sending to the tenant of the property will be useful too, especially if it's their interest in the property being liened. As for how to send that notice - it should be given either by personal service or by registered or certified mail, return receipt requested. It should be sent to the last known address of the recipients. So, if the tenant is residing in the property that's being worked on, then sending to them at that address where they reside would likely be sufficient for notifying them.
