I'm a subcontractor who has completed work on a residential pool. We have not been paid for the work except for a small percentage of it We've filed a mechanics lien already so now I need to know what the next step is
Consult with a construction law attorney to get the Foreclosure action lawsuit drafted and filed in Superior Court, and the Lis Pendens drafted and filed with the County Recorders office. Please note that you only have 90 days from filing of the Mechanics Lien to file the foreclosure action, or the lien is void.
