I had a mechanic lien placed on my property in 2016 in Monroe County New York. I paid the the contractor the lien amount recently in 2020. He refuses to remove the lien unless I pay him -additional $. I am reading about expired liens. He did not extended the lien . So how can I remove the lien from the property? I want to sell it. He told me to go hell and wasn’t going to do a thing for me.
