What is proper form or format to Answer a contest of lien?
A notice of contest of lien shortens the time to take action on the lien and requires that you file an action in Court to "perfect" your claim within 60 days of the filing of the notice of contest. This means that you must file an action to recover the monies claimed to be due from the party with which you contracted--your customer.

Once a contest of lien is filed, you must file a civil action in the same county where the lien was filed and the property is located. The civil action to enforce the lien must be filed within 60 days of the date the contest was filed. If the civil action is not filed within that 60 day period then your lien will expire.
