How do I proceed to foreclose after a mechanics lien has been filed with no payment?

CaliforniaMechanics Lien

I have filed and recorded my mechanics lien as of Dec 23, 2020 in Riverside County Ca through Levelset. What is my next step? How can I attempt to collect payment if it expires in 90 days? How do I proceed to foreclose?

Good morning! A lawsuit will need to be filed in the Riverside County Superior Court to foreclose upon that lien within 90 days of the date the lien was recorded.

You have 90 days from 12/23/20 to file a lawsuit to foreclose on the lien. If you would like to discuss the process, feel free to call at your convenience. Thanks, Andrew 959 954 6666 x101

After you file your lien, your next step is to file a lawsuit to foreclose the lien within 90 days of the lien recording date. You do this by hiring a good construction attorney to file the lawsuit for you and helping you with the process. I’m happy to answer any questions you have about this. I’ve done a lot of these for clients.
