How do I know the status on my documents I filed?

CaliforniaMechanics Lien

I provided labor and materials to install a concrete walkway and patio but the day of the concrete pour the owner did not allow us to pour. Therefore the concrete truck and pump had to be turned away.

If you have already gone forward with filing a California mechanics lien and served the owner of the property with the lien, you will need to enforce your lien claim within the 90 day deadline.

To enforce a mechanics lien, you as the claimant must initiate enforcement or lien foreclosure action. A lien foreclosure is a lawsuit. Considering the lawsuit that will need to take place, it needs to be drafted, filed, and served properly just like any other lawsuit, according to the rules of the jurisidiction in which the lien was recorded. It is rarely ever a good idea to represent yourself, therefore if a foreclosure suit is necessary, it is likely that you will need an attorney

In addition, Levelset has outlined 4 steps to take after filing a mechanics lien that may be helpful to you.

Good luck!
