How do I foreclosed on a mechanics lein in Georgia

Georgia

I work for a woman and painted her house and December she didn't pay me so I put a lien in February and now she got it bonded so now I need to foreclose on it so I just need to know the proper ways of going about getting paid because I really do need the money and this is my first lien I've ever had to do

You simply have to pursue a lawsuit and file a notice in the property records that you have done so. If its bonded then that is great, it means the money is there to pay your claim. If you need specific advise or assistance to move forward, please give me a call or email me.

Your next step would be to file suit against the owner and possibly the bonding company, if she posted a surety bond. You will also need to file a Notice of Commencing Lien action to preserve your lien rights. If you want to hire an attorney, give me a call. Josh Stone 678-392-2797. Stone & Bellus, P.C. Thanks. Josh
