how do I file lien

I'm a contractor and finished the work . The customer is refusing to pay for the work that was done.

If you had an agreement with the property owner, and you performed work within the last 6 months, you should be able to lien the improved property.

At this juncture, depending upon the type of work that was performed, you may be able to file a Mech Lien. Please refer to the PA Mech Lien Law regarding the requirements for filing a lien – but note, it must be filed within 6 months of the date of the last performance of work. The requirements for filing a lien in PA are stringent and must be followed exactly.
