Our company was a sub-contractor on a project in Missouri, installing and repairing poultry processing equipment with a contractor. Can we file a lien on both the plant, contractor and the sub contractor. We are an Oklahoma base LLC- Thank you

Mechanics lien rights arise in the property where work is performed - not against any individual or particular company. So, lien rights will only exist in the property where the project is located. So, if the project for which payment wasn't made is located in Missouri, these resources might be helpful: (1) How to File a Missouri Mechanics Lien (2) Missouri Mechanics Lien Guide and FAQs As discussed in the "How to File" article, mechanics liens can be mailed in for recording when the lien claimant is no longer close enough to file their lien in person. Alternatively, there are also lien filing services - including Levelset's document filing service - which can help with that.
