How can I extend a Mechanics Lein

CaliforniaLawsuit

Good afternoon, I have filed a mechanics lein on a property in which I have not received payment for. I understand I have 90 days from that day to take the matter to civil court which I am trying to avoid. I recently sent out a certified notice of Intent to Foreclose from your website. I was contacted by the homeowner to work out a payment plan with them instead of going to court. I was advised to file a Mechanics Lein Towing Agreement to extend the lein. Is that a document I can do thru Levelset or do i need to contact a lawyer. Thank you

I am sure the Levelset folks will respond soon to see if they can prepare this document for you.  If not, it is one that a construction lawyer should be able to prepare and take care of relatively quickly.  The Notice of Credit (which must be signed by the owner) must be recorded before the expiration of the 90 days from the date of the recording of your lien.
