Help with Construction Lien?

California

We have a project that is finished but GC is retaining payment. We would like to proceed with a lien on this project.

As a subcontractor you are eligible to record a lien if you gave preliminary notice. You may also be eligible if you can demonstrate that the owner had actual knowledge of your work. If you are eligible to record a lien, be sure to do so within 90 days of project completion or within 30 days of the completion date listed in any notice of completion that has been recorded. Once you record your lien, be sure to follow up with the GC and owner to demand payment. You have 90 days from recording your lien to file a lawsuit to foreclose if you still have not been paid.

Thank you Ryan

Appreciate the feedback. Would you be able to help with submitting a lien if necessary.

We are trying to work this out with GC at the moment but if no resolutions in the next few days I this we will proced to next step.

Thank you
