Filing a lien without sending owner a Notice to Owner in Florida

FloridaNotice of Intent to Lien

I live in Lynn Haven, Florida and a subcontractor placed a lien on my home without sending me a Notice to Owner. What are my options? I didn't think the court house could file that without the proof of notice to owner.

The clerk of court does not review liens for accuracy. The clerk's only job is to record them when submitted by lienors. Any party that does not have a direct contract with an owner must serve a notice to owner within 45 days of its first date of work in order to have lien rights. If the lienor doesn't satisfy the lien after notifying them of the basis for the lien being improper, then you should contact an attorney regarding ways in which to contest the lien.
