Does my apprenticeship still count towards years of experience within trade if it is organized by non-union affiliated construction company?

CaliforniaLicenses

Hi. I was wondering, If I start an apprenticeship with a non-union affiliated construction business and complete my apprenticeship and then apply for carpentry license, will the apprenticeship (4 years) count towards experience for my general contractor license? Or does it only count if it is certified by the union? Thank you in advance.

The California Contractors State License Board (CSLB) handles everything related to acquiring and maintaining a California contractors license. The board oversees licenses and regulate the 44 different contractor classifications, along with Home Improvement Salespeople. Currently, the CSLB currently has over 300,000 active licenses. The main office processes license applications and renewals, reviews and records any disciplinary actions, and maintains a licensed contractor database. While the field offices investigate consumer complaints regarding unlicensed contractors. If you have a specific question pertaining to the experience needed to go towards your general contractor license, you can contact the CSLB directly.

So 4 years of experience is not always about working experience but about study as well? I was more than sure that I needed to get more practical skills instead of writing endless papers. Thus, I turned to https://edubirdie.com/term-paper-help for help and was more than glad with the results. At the moment, I have 2 years experience as a worker, 1 year experience as a foreman, & 1 year of credits from accredited college-level courses, so I suppose that I can apply for the job, right?
