We are the roofing contractors who completed the roofing project for the homeowners rental property. We passed dry in inspection 9/16/20 and final inspection on 9/24/20. Homeowners are refusing to pay the remaining balance on their account due to work that they feel should have been done that was not indicated on their signed contact. We are more than happy to honor their warranty once their account is satisfied in full. We sent out our company's 5 Day Lien Notice certified mail to two different addresses which the homeowners refused to sign for. We then sent out Levelsets Notice to Lien. The homeowners lawyer has now sent us a letter stating "any attempt to lien the property will be met with a claim for fraudulent lien under Florida Statutes, Chapter 713." We are looking for some direction as to what our next move should be. Is this something Levelset can help with?
