My sister received a Mechanics lien against her in the mail the other day from a towing company on a car she sold 1 1/2 years ago for $1. The mechanic shop she sold it to turned around and sold it to a used car dealership. It was so long ago they are having a difficult time tracking down the information. What can be done about this mechanics lien. The Tow owner said "dont pay it, it wont go against your credit"... Like I have stupid written all over my face.
