Does a flooring company need a valid license to work on a home in Florida? If so, how is it possible he filed a lien on

A flooring company filed a lien on my home. They didn't even finish the work & it's in absolutely horrible conditions where we can't even put the furniture down. Terminix said they would come in and help and even pay for it but the flooring company still won't release the lien.

First, there is no state licensing requirement for a flooring contractor. There may be a local licensing requirement, but this may or may not have any impact on the lien. Your best bet here is to contact an attorney and see what your options are. You may be able to file a notice of contest of lien or take some other step to remove the lien from your property sooner rather than later.
