Do we need to retain an attorney for a possible lawsuit?

VirginiaMechanics Lien

We filed a lien through Levelset earlier this year. One of the people listed on the lien called and left threatening messages last night on our voicemail. She stated that she had not been married to the individual for 2 years and had nothing to do with the property in question.

If the party is listed as an owner on the property, as I'm sure she is, you have to name her. As far as the threats are concerned, if you feel they are strong enough you can certainly review your options with the local Commonwealth's Attorney.

I always recommend an attorney's assistance for any lien lawsuit.

Unfortunately, I do not see her name listed on the property according to the public online records. Now what?
