Do I issue a UWR for months in the past with no payment received?

If CWR upon progress payment form were issued for the following months Aug, Sept, Oct. (Unpaid Invoices from Aug to Oct) Then when Payment was received 11/12/19. Would a UWR upon progress payment be enough if dated 11/15/2019.(All Invoices Paid in full Aug-Oct.) There is still a remaining balance to bel billed upon completion(not including Retention) The GC is aking for UWR for each month (Aug, Sept Oct) is this correct? It's now Nov.

Good morning -- While you mentioned that all invoices were paid through October, you did not clarify whether you had furnished labor or materials in November. You mention payment was received 11/12/19 and that you are contemplating a UWR dated 11/15/19. Based upon the information you have provided, I would be concerned you are waiving your claim for any labor and materials also furnished in November. There are two types of UWR forms --- UWR upon Progress and UWR upon Final. Clearly, a UWR upon Final is not appropriate until all monies are paid (and funds cleared), including retention. The UWR upon Progress has a "through date" so you can only give this UWR for labor and materials furnished through a particular date. Again, based upon your information above (that all invoices are paid in full through October), it would seem the appropriate through date to specify for your UWR is October 31.
