Good Morning! We are an interior design company and want to know more about the mechanis lien in MO. We have a builder who is not paying an invoice that was installed in December 2020. The balance due is a little over $5,000. Could you let me know about the timeline, deadlines to file, info needed to create lien and process to follow the lien?

It sounds like you are a subcontractor, so you have 6 months to file a lien claim but you have to send notice to the owner in accordance with the statute 10 days before filing the lien. If you give me a call I can help you with the process.
