What kind of work are you doing as a subcontractor?

I want to be able to give you the right answer so please state whether you are working as a carpentry company with a company name - and the company is licensed with workers compensation insurance coverage or an exemption for a single owner/worker? My concern is that a "subcontractor" does not get paid wages. It gets paid a negotiated price for a scope of work. That is the nature of a subcontract - a contract that is less than the whole scope of the overall work being done.
