Contractor did not complete the project and work he did was sloppy then filed mechanics lien when its invoice wasn't paid. What are my options?
He has to sue you within some strict timelines to foreclose the lien. If or when he does, you'll need to answer the lawsuit and you'll have to dispute his work then. It's worth it once liens are recorded to consult a construction attorney.
