Clients claiming we used cedar instead of IPE material on fencing. We used IPE on the benches and cedar on the walls. They also did not pay a change order for the flooring.
I would suggest you go over the contract with the customer pointing out what was agreed to item by item. You would want to bring proof of materials you used that were within the agreed contract. If customer refuses to pay what is due you, look for levelset to assist with your lien rights. You could also threaten to take legal action and if the customer is a homeowner, look to the American Collectors Association for help from a consumer collection agency member. If the customer is a business, seek assistance from a member of Commercial Collection Agencies of America. Members of either group can help collect your bill on a contingency fee bases so you are not having to throw good money after a bad account. Best regards getting your money, Steve
