My friend who is a disabled teacher had a contractor do some work in 1995, which he did not complete. He had put into his contract that he would get paid even if he didn’t complete the work, so he put a mechanics lien on her homestead. She is now 74 and I can’t find this remodeling company listed anywhere! She has NO money. Is there any way I can help her get rid of this lien, so I can help her sell this house.
