I am a home owner. I hired a contractor to put a new roof on my house. He hired a subcontractor to do the work. There are no contracts with any party. I paid the contractor in full the day after the job was finished. The subcontractor showed up at my house 3 months later threatening a lein for non payment. I told him I paid the contractor who hired him in full. What should I do now?
